Grilled chicken with soy sauce (ayam bakar kecap BBQ)

A traditional Indonesian recipe.
Steps:
1. Mix using food processor: red peppers, garlic, shallots, macadamia nuts (kemiri), turmeric, lemon juice, salt, oil, cumin (optional). Marinade the chicken using this mix.
2. The next day, fry the chicken with the mixed spices and add galangal , citroengras, lemon leaves, ginger, coconut milk (optional).
3. Grill the chicken, apply mix of butter & sweet soy sauce (kecap manis).
4. Serve with rice, sambal terasi (shrimp chili paste), and mix of sweet soy sauce and lemon juice.


Variation: 
simplified and faster version (when it’s not weekend): marinade the chicken with Thai Masaman yellow pasta/ laksa powder and coconut milk, next day boil the chicken in this mix and go grill.
